grow vegetables for both fresh market and processing factories.
Our main plants are pickling cucumber, celery, celeriac and spring
onion. With all of these plants, we qualify to the top growers in
our country. We grow 13 hectares of both cucumber and celeriac and
that leaves us the biggest single grower of these products. On 2010
we introduced spring onion to Finland.
As the climate is not on our side, the Finnish growers had to develop
better growing techniques and Finland is now one of the leading
countries in horticultural production.We use always the four-year
cycle in our production to keep the soil clean from parasites, the
soil structure good and the nutrients in balance. There are also
many chemicals that we are not allowed to use on consequent years.
